The West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to strengthen its portfolio management office (PMO), which was established in 2017 and oversees a GBP1bn+ portfolio of programmes and projects. These schemes are either delivered directly by WYCA or through one of our partner organisations (public and private sector). Whichever the delivery route, the PMO has responsibility for ensuring that only schemes which meet the strategic aims of the organisation are developed and delivered and they are done so within the agreed time, cost and quality framework
We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic Portfolio Manager to join this newly established team. The Portfolio Manager (Process), in collaboration with the Portfolio Managers (Controls) will be responsible for developing and implementing the necessary processes and procedures to support the delivery of WYCA's Portfolio. They will also lead on developing, updating and embedding the assurance templates which projects are required to complete as they proceed through WYCA's Assurance process and will be a source of guidance to project managers on developing and delivering their schemes in accordance with the Leeds City Region Assurance Framework .
These roles offer an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has experience in the assurance and management of portfolios or large programmes. Alternatively we would welcome applications from candidates who have a track record of successful project delivery, project appraisal and or project assurance and as a result could apply their skills to WYCA's portfolio management.
