Our client has a new, unique claims position for someone with extensive Claims and MI experience. The role is a Claims Client Support Handler based in Ipswich.

Role: Claims Client Support Handler
Location: Ipswich
Salary: GBP20,000 - GBP26,000

Purpose of the role;
Responsible for maintenance and compliance of claims department procedures and controls, emphasis is on ensuring accuracy of key internal financial data along with supporting claims service delivery to clients. To monitor, communicate, maintain and amend claims controls across all lines of business. To monitor all claims client activity and ensure service delivery of claims actions.

Skills and Experience
The claims process especially with regard to claims notification, setting of estimates, making payments/recoveries and capturing data.
How the claims process impacts on downstream activities outside the claims departments responsibility.
Internal and external reporting.
Liaison with Underwriters, Finance, MI, IT and Claims Management.
Being involved in the maintenance and development of client relationships through contacts with clients and brokers in respect of day-to-day claims handling.
Understanding and acting appropriately in respect of clients needs.
Ability to operate to tight deadlines in a pressured environment.
Capable analytical and problem solving skills.
Good numerical and literacy skills (Minimum GCSE passes Mathematics and English).
Excellent PC and systems skills - MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook.
Good telephone, written and verbal communication skills.
