Experienced Finance Controller

A vacancy has become available for an experienced Finance Controller with good Bookkeeping experience to join our organisation. Essential:
• Qualified ACCA or CIMA.
• Extensive knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll.
• Payroll and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) experience.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word & Excel.
• All HMRC returns preparation.

Main Aspects of the role:
• Purchase ledger processing and analysing on sage line 50
• Raising sales invoices on sage line 50
• Cash flow management/Forecasting
• Completing the monthly payment run
• Dealing with calls that come in from customers
• Processing bank payments and receipts accurately on VT+
• Raising and processing accurate and relevant journal entries on VT+
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Performing control accounts reconciliations
• Preparing VAT returns
• Processing payroll transactions on Payroll Manager software
• Performing general office clerical administrative duties such as filing and archiving paperwork.
• Liaising with clients to obtain information, clarify transactions as well as working with clients professionally to achieve positive results.
• Monthly Internal payroll (not essential)
• Adhoc task set by the Manager and the Finance Director

Required experience:
• Finance Controller/Bookkeeping: + 5 year

The perfect candidate:

This role will suit a confident individual who is really hands on and happy to communicate with all levels of staff, suppliers and customers. We require someone who is used to working within a busy sales office environment, who has a real keen eye for detail and is happy to take on a range of jobs from filing to management accounts preparation. Previous Sage line 50 experience is essential.
