We are currently recruiting an Accountant (Asset) to cover a MATERNITY Leave contract

Your duties:

* Lead and develop the Accountant and Assistant Accountant to ensure effective team working and a positive environment which encourages contribution and progression
* Deliver a management accounting service which delivers high quality financial reporting to the business and incorporates effective decision support and challenge to non-Finance colleagues
* Produce good quality monthly reports which provide relevant numerical and written analysis of business financial issues within the post holder's area of influence
* Build close and effective working relationships with Asset Management directorate colleagues, including attendance at team and one-to-one meetings to present results and resolve issues arising
* Provide ad hoc advice on financial matters to Asset Management directorate colleagues
* Support Asset Management colleagues with evaluation and development of stock investment / divestment analysis tools
* Contribute towards delivery of an efficient annual statutory accounting process, in line with best practice and current accounting standards
* Contribute towards effective ongoing management and maintenance of group accounting ledgers, in support of accurate and comprehensive financial reporting
* Support the Head of Finance with reporting and presenting of relevant matters to Boards, Committees and executive management
* Support the business drive for value for money ('VFM'), assisting business partners with formulation and delivery of VFM initiatives and designing reports which evidence VFM achievements
* Actively contribute to the wider work of the Finance team, and at all times exhibit values and behaviours which align with the status of the role
* Exhibit an absolute commitment to quality customer service, delivery of value for money, high performance and equality and diversity at all times
