An incredible opportunity has become available within a world-renowned school that provides musicians, actors, stage managers and theatre technicians with an inspiring educational environment to develop as artists and professionals. This is an opportunity not to be missed!

We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is ambitious and career driven and who will thrive within this small yet passionate student affairs team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing treatment services, health and well-being promotion initiatives, counselling and alternative therapies to 1000 students on campus, so that a comprehensive health and counselling support service is provided within the school. In addition to the running of and the growth of this valuable service the Senior Health & Welfare Manager will be responsible for the management and the empowerment of a small team of healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth running of the department and that a holistic approach to the Student's welfare is delivered at all times.

To be considered for this fantastic and unique post you do not need to be in a similar post . The successful candidate will ideally be from an Accident & Emergency or Practice Nurse background (with exposure to mental health). The role is fairly autonomous as you will triage, assess and make decisions as to what would be the most appropriate treatment/actions to take. The successful candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence those around them. In addition you will be diplomatic, assertive and be enthusiastic for the role in order to really drive this service forward. In addition to working with the Students and the Student Affairs team you will also be liaising with the academic tutors and head up case conferences for those students that perhaps are requiring more support.

In return for your commitment you will be offered excellent training and ongoing professional development opportunities and in addition to the highly competitive salary package you can expect excellent benefits such as free access to places of interest in the City of London, discounted gym membership, dental insurance, contributory pension scheme and interest free season ticket loan to name but a few!!!
