Interim HR Advisor / Deputy HR Manager

Are you a proven HR generalist looking for a 3 month interim challenge and opportunity? Experience of casework, sickness reviews, grievance and disciplinaries? Previously conducted training need analysts/ internal talent management? Yes? We'd love to hear from you.
Based in Eastwood, Nottingham, Microlise offers fleet management solutions to help vehicle operators reduce the cost and environmental impact of their fleet operations. We have just over 330 employees here in Nottingham but also have offices in India and we are expanding rapidly globally.
The key part of your role will be to prove support to the Group HR Manager, to deputise while they are in our India office and to offer across business HR support in the UK.
• Provide full HR generalist support in the UK
• Work closely with and deputise for the Group HR Manager in their absence
• Direct line management for the HR Assistants
• Provide support and guidance to managers for full sickness absence management
• Support manager's conducting disciplinary and grievance investigations up to serious misconduct.
• To focus on training need analysts/ internal talent management and drive this forward
• To assist with company's recruitment processes as required, including: recruitment administration I.e. arranging interviews and issuing offer letters and contracts etc if required.
• To ensure smooth running of the recruitment process in the absence of the Recruitment Advisor
Essential Criteria
• Experienced HR generalist with proven generalist experience
• Experience of casework, sickness reviews, grievance and disciplinaries
• To have a keen interest or experience in training need analysts/ internal talent management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work effectively and to prioritise own workload
• Decisive, exercising sound economic and business judgment
• Ability to work proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing change
• Conscientious and hard-working to achieve results
• Responds positively and co-operatively to challenge, change and conflicting demands
• A sound understanding of importance of confidentiality and the ability to maintain it
• Good ICT skills
• Good understanding of the recruitment process to offer support as required including interviews
Desirable Criteria
• CIPD qualified, or at least working towards
• Experience of managing a team
• Awareness of the Data Protect Act
