At Tradewind we are partnering with a school near Stroud to supply them with supply staff. We are currently looking to recruit Teachers and Teaching Assistants with Autism Experience to work at our client school.

Our client school is ideally looking for Teaching Assistants and Teachers with experience of supporting young people on the Autistic spectrum for the next term for long/short-term positions with the potential of continuing. This school might be suitable for you if you have previously supported young people with Autism within an Education/Care/Any other setting.

Our schools are currently looking to consider candidates with both practical and theoretical understanding of the spectrum. The ability to manage challenging behaviour is required however not necessary depending on the circumstances of the young person.

The school is within commutable distance from Chepstow, Thornbury, Gloucester, Dursley or Tortworth. The use of a car is needed to be able to commute to the school as public transport links are limited through the day.

This role might be ideal for you if:

-You worked with young people/young adults on the Autistic Spectrum.
-You have previously worked within an Education/Childcare/Alternative Education setting within or outside UK.
-You are available for work part-time.
-You have a flexible approach and have got understanding of Autism and use of MAKATON/PECS
-You are looking for long-term Teaching Assistant position.
-You currently reside near Thornbury, Pillning, Chepstow or can commute/relocate within a reasonable amount of time.

Highly Desirable:

-Special Educational Needs Experience
-Training in Makaton, PECS and Autism.
