JOB DESCRIPTION

This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of ambitions personnel who are acting as an employment agency.

Our client provides businesses of all sizes with expert professional advice and support in the areas of Employment Law and Health and Safety.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join the employment law team working as a HR & Employment Law Specialist.

The role involves building working relationships with clients that are assigned to you and supporting them with their daily personnel issues by telephone and email.

You will meet with clients to discuss their current employment documentation, and support them with updating or drafting new terms of employment and employee handbooks.

In addition, you will also have the opportunity to visit their premises and carry out consultancy such as disciplinary or grievance meetings, and provide bespoke training.

We are looking for a team player, who is professional and hardworking. You will have knowledge of HR and employment law and experience of working in an advice capacity.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* CILEX, CIPD or Solicitor qualification or equivalent;
* Good knowledge of employment law / HR;
* Employment Tribunal experience would be desirable;
* Ability to orally present persuasively, professionally and clearly;
* Ability to listen to the client and tailor advice to suit;
* Ability to appropriately undertake legal research and updating;
* Computer literacy and good typing speed;
* Professional attitude, giving credibility when dealing with clients;
* Ability to work under pressure and within tight time limits;
* Ability to travel with the occasional overnight stay;
* Driving licence for a car and ability to drive independently nationwide.
