Due to continuous growth of the business, this well established asbestos consultancy with a large presence across the country is actively seeking for a competent, focused and diligent Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst, although would consider a P402/P403/P404 in the South East and would include applications from Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must possess the P402/P403/P404 or the equivalent RSPH certificates and at the same time must have extensive experience working in asbestos surveying and air-monitoring and within the asbestos arena.

Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal and must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Must be well-versed with the Health and Safety issues with regards to asbestos.

Must be well-versed with the asbestos industry and manuals.

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.

Having a Health & Safety qualification or other qualifications would be beneficial.

Aspects of the Role:

Carrying out asbestos smoke, background, leak, reassurance, visual 4 stage clearance and re-occupation and personal air-testing on various buildings.

Overseeing asbestos contractors on site carrying out asbestos removal work and ensuring that they adhere to the Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.

Carrying out asbestos Management and Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various building, including commercial and industrial and sampling in accordance with HSG264

Managing contracts and quality control checks.

Ensuring the company's equipment is calibrated.

Collating asbestos reports and completing certificates in compliance with the company's procedures.

Collating and recording information into the company's data system.

Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company's mixed portfolio of clients.

Dealing with samples effectively and appropriately.

Ensuring samples are sent to the laboratory for analysis in accordance to Key Performance Indicators.

Carrying out quality checks and adhering to the Health & Safety procedures.

Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.

In general, the successful applicant will be flexible, have the ability to multi-task, have good work ethic and have the ability to carry out the work effectively and within time line.

Must be prepared to travel extensively as per client's requirements.
