People Management

?? Providing impartial guidance to line managers on Talent issues, i.e. performance, absence

- ?? Undertaking necessary counselling of staff when needed ensuring confidentiality at all times with view to maintaining staff morale and commitment.
- ?? Play key role in ensuring new joiners are settled into the firm and throughout their probation period. Ensure all elements of new joiner process are in place prior to start, liaising with Talent support team as necessary.
- ?? Requesting paperwork relating to contractual changes

Policies and Procedures

- ?? Ongoing review, alongside Talent Business Partners, of Firm's policies and procedures recommending and editing policies where appropriate, to ensure they are current and in line with best practice and statute.
- ?? Conducting six week reviews and exit interviews.
- ?? Liaising with the Firm's Occupational Health Advisors, referring cases as necessary and ensuring implementation of recommendations.

Performance & Salary Review

- ?? Working closely with Talent Business Partners:

- o in managing the fee earner appraisal process including attending partner preparation meetings, appraisal meetings and following up on objectives.
- o in liaising with L & D on individual development actions coming out of appraisals, talent audits, partner pipeline discussions and ad hoc requests.
- o On annual salary and bonus review process - collating market information, advising partners on market trends, attending partner meetings to make recommendations for salaries and bonuses


- ?? Provision of support and guidance to fee earners as and when required.
- ?? Acting as key point of contact for all paralegal issues


- ?? Working with international offices to coordinate international secondments
- ?? Liaising with Partners, clients and fee earners to arrange client secondments both inbound and outbound.
- ?? Processing visa and work permit applications in conjunction with the in-house immigration team.
- ?? Working with the Talent Business Partners on ad hoc project work, e.g. annual surveys, management reporting, sharing best practice
- ?? Involvement in ad hoc project work as required
- ?? Delegating effectively to Talent support team to ensure work is completed at the right level
