Role summary:
You will work part of the Commercial department providing a high level of customer service to business clients. Using our brand, local presence, quality of service and expertise, we encourage face to face contact with our local clients, enhancing a strong rapport and building further trust. Working within an office environment writing business for all trades, we benefit having a huge existing Personal Lines client base to explore and would like to innovate new business through networking, business events, social media business forums to name a few. Your scope depends on your passion and proactivity. The Basingstoke team has developed a substantial client base in just 18 months and this is only the beginning!

You:
We are looking for someone with commercial experience, that is able to bring confidence and knowledge to the team. We are happy to train on products not learnt as yet, but some commercial experience is vital. Excellent customer service and business acumen is important to liaise and communicate professionally with company owners. B2B experience is needed, understanding the needs and finding a solution to mirror. Knowledge and/or experience working in-house within a corporate insurance company will be considered as well as those having a broker background.

Responsibilities:
•Understand and develop knowledge and execute relationships with the Trade and/or Products or Service industries which could be within car fleet, IT, manufacturing, engineering, automotive, retail, offices, residential, industrial, cyber security, construction, financial services, technology, consultancy sectors, however, not limited too.
•Warm call existing Personal Lines customer base, who are Directors or Business Owners to establish a rapport, introduce the Commercial division and understand their business needs using fact finding techniques.
•Using a consultancy style generate business by selling Public & Employers Liability, Property Insurance, Package and Combined, Directors & Offices Insurance, Professional Indemnity, Motor Trade Insurance policies.
•Working part of a team, working towards a collective branch target.
•Update and utilise the Acturis CRM System accordingly.
•Provide an excellent customer experience, using a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
•Turn around quotations from insurers in a quick efficient manner.
•Instigate prompt renewals, claims and mid-term adjustments.
•Communicate effectively using excellent telephone skills and written emails.
•Working in accordance to FCA regulations
•Look for opportunities at all times to either cross sell or up sell depending on the customer needs.
•Adapt communication style to ensure customers feel comfortable and not feel intimidated by insurance jargon/wording. Be able to explain in easy terms ensuring the customer understands fully.
•Look at ways to increase Commercial Insurance awareness, identifying connections/partnerships that would bring business to you.
•Social media interaction using business forums to share knowledge and expertise, through educating not selling.
•Diary management, working in alignment with the team to ensure someone is always in the office.
•Produce quotations within a timely manner using our network of insurance providers, understanding how each policy benefits the client's needs.
•Write business efficiently and accurately.

Additional benefits:
Competitive basic salary depending on experience
Parking will be provided
Mileage paid for client visits
20 days holiday increasing by 1 day per year after 2 years service to a maximum of 25 days
Death in service benefit
2 interview stage - Branch Manager then Commercial Director
No probation period though constantly under review- First two years in accordance with employment law
Salary review subject to performance- initial review agreed at offer of position
