An impressive and professional firm of solicitors are seeking a Client Liaison Manager to join their professional practice. This role will involve working between patient and solicitor and is essential that candidates have experience of working and dealing with brain injury patients. it is also important that candidates of working with key decision makers in the NHS and benefits system.

The role will act as a link between lawyers, public bodies, agencies, charities, NHS and DWP to ensure effective communication and secure additional statutory or voluntary services where required. On-going advocacy, signposting or practical support to the client and their family will be given, where appropriate, ensuring the client is maximising their statutory welfare entitlement (such as continuing healthcare assessment, aids and adaptations, disabled facilities grants, welfare benefits, etc.).

The secondary purpose is to help identify, and forge strong positive relationships with, key potential work referrers in the medical, rehabilitation and associated professions in East Anglia and further afield as required.

The successful candidate will possess;-

•Significant medical/nursing, welfare and/or rehabilitation experience (min. 5 years).
•Knowledge of health care, welfare, rehabilitation, services and advocacy services.
•Medical/Therapist qualifications essential. (ie: Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Social Worker or Psychologist)
•Previous medico-legal experience would be highly advantageous
•Good planning and prioritisation, highly organised.
•Effective oral and written communication.

Duties will include;-

•Identify areas of immediate needs that clients and their families may have.
•To promote business development, with the primary focus being to develop working relationships with work referrers, NHS and Hospital Trusts and Community Teams.
•To attend initial client meetings with lawyers, if appropriate, to help capture new work.
•To assist with client's progress and rehabilitation, by liaising with multidisciplinary medical teams, local services professionals, agencies and DWP.
•Develop new relationships and opportunities within the healthcare industry and related medical charities.
•Deliver a smooth transition of new clients discharged from key acute NHS services and liaise with medical, therapeutic and care staff. Provide advice and practical support to clients in the community (or about to be discharged to the community) on appropriate services and support.

Significant travel is expected in order to deliver this role so full driving licence and transport is necessary.
