Deputy Director for Constitution & Rights
This is a challenging and demanding role, but also a rewarding one. It offers a unique and exciting opportunity to operate as part of the senior leadership team of the Northern Ireland Office, working closely with Ministers and senior officials. You will be responsible for the devolution framework, including any changes to the settlement, with particular focus on the Repeal Bill and deficiencies legislation made under it, elections policy and relations with the Electoral Office of Northern Ireland, Equalities & Rights and relations with the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Human Right Commission.
As a Deputy Director in the department leading the Constitution & Rights team, you will have responsibility for the leadership of your team, overseeing their activity and performance management to ensure high standards of service to ministers and senior officials, while ensuring that they are resilient when under pressure. Providing corporate leadership to your team and within the department will be essential.
