Science Solutions are recruiting for an industry leading manufacturer of cleaning products based in Northamptonshire, who due to continued success are looking for 2 Chemistry graduates (or closely related) for the positions of Technical Sales Executive.

Our client are a supportive and forward thinking company, whose reputation means the world to them, as such they are looking for true relationship builders as opposed to an out-right sales people.

No experience is necessary, just the right attitude and a friendly personality.

Overview:

Opens doors and makes technical sales within an assigned market segment by effectively selling the company, the products and related services in a genuinely refreshing, bright, positive and professional manner. Will be supported by an office based customer service and sales/support team. Personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers through outbound calls, emails and face to face appointments. Willing to learn and get stuck in to an industry with lots of opportunities - across the UK and potentially overseas too.

Key Responsibilities:

* Promotes, sells, develops and secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
* Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and helps select the most suitable solution.
* A good understanding of chemistry and/or practical application would be an advantage.
* Establishes, develops & maintains business relationships with current & prospective customers to generate business.
* Makes calls and visits (to include professional presentations) to existing and prospective customers.
* Contributes ideas to help, develop and improve all aspects of supply (and the company)
* Researches prospective customers and information to determine their potential.
* Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
* Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints. An understanding of good customer service is essential.
* Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, engineering and technical team.
* Analysis of market potential - determines the value of existing and prospective customers.
* Identifies advantages and compares competitor organisation's products/services.
* Plans and organises personal sales strategy.
* Supplies management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
* Keeps abreast of new developments on the industry - including products, technical services, market conditions, competitor activity, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent media and consulting with marketing and technical service team.
* Participates in trade shows and conventions - home and abroad!

Knowledge, experience, skills:

* Recent BSc in Chemistry or related subject
* Good people skills with a pleasant and confident communication style
* Well organised and self motivated, able to work on own initiative
