Natalie Wood is recruiting for a Senior Analyst to join a leading organisation specialising in rubber, plastic & composite testing & manufacture, on a full time, permanent basis based in Shropshire.

As a Senior Analyst you will provide an effective analytical testing service to external and internal customers by the application of expertise and problem solving skills, be instrumental in project planning and implementation and ensure maintenance of specified equipment. You will also be responsible for providing training and development for junior colleagues and offering advanced technical expertise

Further responsibilities of this Senior Analyst will be to:
- Understand and determine customer requirements (both internal and external) and assist in the preparation of work proposals, study plans, etc.
- Deliver appropriate communication and project updates to project managers, as required.
- Plan and execute complex projects utilising multiple analytical techniques with minimal supervision.
- Produce high quality data and reports for customers (both internal and external) in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide effective communication and disseminate key information to build and maintain customer/supplier relationships
- Keep abreast of current scientific advancements relevant to the business and expand knowledge base of analytical chemistry. Disseminate this knowledge as required.
- Perform a range of analytical testing using techniques such as LC-MS, GC-MS, ICP, IR amongst others.

As a Senior Analyst, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- A Level or equivalent in a Science related subject, degree is preferred
- Experience performing GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP, IR testing experience is essential.
- Must be numerate, with excellent attention to detail.
- Understanding of the application of quality systems to analytical chemistry
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organise and manage own workload without supervision
- Aptitude to follow instruction accurately
