If yes, this is the role for you! CAS Behavioural Health is one of the UKs largest providers of specialist adult services in mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities.

Sedgley House and Lodge in Wolverhampton, West Midlands are adult male mental health services which aim to promote the recovery of mental health issues. There are up to 34 patients across both services and we have a unique care programme in place aimed at providing better outcomes for patients, including patient-centred care plans that are determined by individual needs. We also have a therapy room where patients can engage in internet sessions, arts and crafts, creative writing and other psycho-educational groups.

The Opportunity

As a Specialist Occupational Therapist (OT), you will work with a range of individuals with mental health and other complex needs to complete assessments which inform the planning and facilitation of therapeutic interventions appropriate to the clients needs, choices and interests.

To be responsible for delivering group and one to one sessions with the aim of supporting patients to undertake activities which aid their rehabilitation, develop independence and community-based skills. You will also provide support and development to the Junior Occupational Therapist and x4 Therapy Coordinators.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate for this role will have a degree or a postgraduate diploma in Occupational Therapy, be registered with the HCPC and have experience as a Specialist Occupational Therapist or Band 6 equivalent. It is also preferred if you have worked with a similar client group.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, resilient, forward thinking Occupational Therapist to join our team. Above all, you will be someone with exceptional communication skills along with a genuine desire to help others.


The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.
