Registered Fostering Manager, IFA, Bristol, Frome, Newton Abbot or Ringwood, up to GBP45,000pa

If you are an experienced Registered Fostering Manager looking for your next challenge, this could be the perfect role for you.

You will have previous experience as a Registered Manager within an Independent Fostering Agency. You will cover the areas of Bristol, Frome, Newton Abbot and Ringwood.

You will be joining a well established IFA specialising in fostering children & young people. They have been rate OUTSTANDING by Ofsted with offices all over the UK.

Main responsibilities include

* To ensure, jointly with any other registered managers good social work practice exists throughout the organisation, through providing good leadership, management and dissemination of clear guidance to both staff and carers.
* To work in partnership with the Responsible individual, and other senior staff in ensuring the smooth running of the organisation.
* To take the lead for the agency in providing timely and accurate data to OFSTED
* Line manage, supervise, motivate, and support the work of your area's senior team and supervising social workers (SSW's) to achieve key targets within the area business plan, with due regard to safe social work practice whilst ensuring compliance with agency policy.
* To motivate and provide leadership to the area social work staff teams, working together to continually improve and develop the service.
* To oversee recruitment of safe, caring foster carers who are able to deliver an excellent service to children and young people placed, ensuring positive outcomes for children.
* To act as panel advisor/decision maker
* To coordinate and attend Management meetings.
* To organise, coordinate and contribute to Practice Issue Meetings.

Essential requirements:

* A social work qualification (degree in social work, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent recognised social work qualification
* Knowledge of the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services of Fostering Services Regulations 2011 referring to The Care Standards Act 2000.
* NVQ4 qualification in management (or working towards this)
* Car driver is essential due to travelling between different locations in the South West
