My client a prestigious client is looking for a design manager to report into the marketing manager.

The role is a permanent position working Monday to Friday (Apply online only).


Based in the London Showroom,you will support the UK and Ireland sales team, and as required our European and Global Divisions, with our tailored design service for existing and new clients, either directly, or through the support of the sales team.

You will create textile flooring proposals for interior schemes and recommend products on the basis of colour, structure, trends and customer requirements, aiming towards securing projects and building long term client relationships. You will use your digital and graphic design skills to show floor plans and marketing material in the best light.

Next to your creative and inventive interior flooring proposals and plans, you will play a key role in New Product Development, attending focus groups at our Design Centre in Holland, to give guidance and feedback from the UK market on new colours and designs. You will also be integral in launching new products to the market, by being part of the innovative 'Circles of Architects' community, testing potential new products with Architects and Designers, prior to launch.

Direct Report - To assist with the growing UK and Ireland Design Service, the newly created role of Design Assistant, will report directly to you.

Desired Skills and Experience

*Degree in art, design or textile, with a related focus on colour and design application.
*A feeling for colours and design trends within the interior industry.
*Excellent verbal and written communication.
*Flooring and textile manufacturing knowledge and experience would be advantageous.
*Experience within a similar role (Interiors) working with appropriate computer software.
*Previous customer service experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

*Strong skills in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Indesign) and AutoCAD.
*Skills in Sketch Up and Illustrator are preferred.
*Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
*Strong presentation skills and confidence in speak to the specification community.
*Strong understanding of colour theory.
*Possess a thorough, organized and detail-oriented approach to work.
*Flexible with a hands-on approach.
*Ability to maintain accurate and complete project records.
*Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
*Multi-task and complete work assignments within deadlines.
*Research Skills.
*Excellent Customer Service.
