Commercial Insurance Account Handler
to GBP24,000 + bonus Croydon, Surrey

Busy Commercial Insurance broking team of expanding independently owned Commercial Insurance Brokerage.
Office based role, with extensive telephone based client contact, with opportunities to meet with clients from time to time. The company quotes and places business with a panel of insurers, with access to the whole of market. Their clients are drawn from a wide sector of business and industry, from SME local clients, to larger national companies.

Key Responsibilities:
•Develop effective business relationships with existing and prospective new Commercial Insurance clients.

•Speaking with clients to accurately identify their Commercial Insurance needs, and make suitable cover recommendations - with respect to new business quotations, and renewal quotations.

•Liaise and negotiate within insurers and underwriters, ensuring best value for the client
•Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell
•Collect Insurance premiums, setting up direct debit payments when requested.

•Issue new Commercial Insurance policy documentation.

Skills & experience required:
The successful applicant will have Commercial Insurance experience gained within either an Insurance Broker or MGA. At least 2 years current/recent Commercial Insurance experience - with a good grounding in the major classes of business - Commercial Combined - Property, Public & Employers Liability, Business Interruption, Commercial Motor, Professional Indemnity etc.

Strong communication skills, confident outgoing approach to build relationships with clients.

Cert CII or progress is an advantage, and is fully supported.
