An exciting opportunity to lead a priority area of work at one of England's fastest growing universities is now available.

At York St John University we're proud to create strong and lasting connections with graduates, supporters and partners alike. Now, as we become increasingly established as a modern and forward thinking university at the heart of historic York, we're looking to achieve the maximum mutual benefit from those connections to both support our students and enhance our research.

The Fundraising and Alumni Manager is a new role, established to bring energy and vision to this agenda. Drawing on excellent interpersonal and communication skills you will oversee the development and maintenance of new and existing relationships, leading campaigns that build stronger affiliations with York St John and utilising these to secure contributions to university activity in the form of funding, advocacy and in-kind support.

By building credibility across the university's nine Academic Schools and key professional services you will lead on co-ordinating internal and external activity across the fundraising and alumni agendas. Experience of managing complex and multiple relationships, a flair for creative campaigns and a track record of achieving goals and targets, will help you take our fundraising and alumni functions to the next level of their development.

Experience of generating income and/or funding is helpful, but we are also keen to see candidates who demonstrate the aptitude and ideas to take on a new challenge and make it their own.
