Trusts and Grants Officer
35 hours per week • 6 month fixed term contract with potential to extend
We are looking for a proactive and confident Trusts and Grants Officer to build and manage relationships with trusts and corporate foundations for our broad range of charitable services, including financial capability, social welfare, legal advice, heritage and learning, as well as our capital appeal and future projects. Toynbee Hall is an innovative social welfare charity that has been working on the frontline in the struggle against poverty since 1884. We give some of the UK's most deprived communities a voice, providing access to advice and support and working together to tackle social injustice.
The role will be focussed on:
- Identifying and developing new funding relationships with trust and corporate foundations to secure funding for our range of charitable services working to tackle poverty.
- Maintaining effective relationships with existing funders including managing grants of over GBP1m for the capital appeal, ensuring high levels of engagement with the project.
The role will form part of a dynamic and supportive fundraising team of five, with the opportunity to develop an understanding of a range of fundraising activities. They will be supported to develop skills in creating compelling cases for support and stewarding funding relationships.
