We are looking for Social Workers with a passion for excellence to join our Assessment Teams in Great Yarmouth. You will join one of our two teams each consisting of a Team Manager, Practice Consultant and five Social Workers. You will have monthly systemic supervision with a manager as well as access to clinical supervision from CAMHS.

The Assessment Team takes initial referrals from our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) at Tiers 3 and 4 of the Norfolk Threshold Guide. Work is carried out in partnership with families and professionals under s17 and s47 Children Act 1989. Social Work Assessments are completed within statutory guidelines. Following the assessment, cases are directed to the most appropriate resources to continue supporting families. Typically our routes are: Family Intervention Teams for ongoing statutory intervention, Norfolk Early Help Family Focus for targeted support, and signposting to Early Help Hub and wider universal support.

As a large county Norfolk has 6 localities delivering services to children and families. Kings Lynn and West Norfolk, Breckland, South Norfolk, North Norfolk and Broadland, Gt Yarmouth and Norwich. Each locality in the area has a dedicated Head of Social Work based locally and is co-located with a strong early help service.

To join our social work team it is essential that you have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent, and full HCPC registration. You will need to have a minimum of 1 years post qualifying social work experience which includes the successful completion of your Assisted and Supported Year in Employment and the ability to travel.
