GBP28,485 - GBP30,153 per annum (Scale I)

Permanent contract (pending successful completion of ASYE)

Norfolk Children's Services are recruiting our eighth cohort of Newly Qualified Social Workers into our highly successful Norfolk Institute for Practice Excellence (NIPE) academy. As an NQSW in Norfolk you will benefit from beginning your Assisted and Supported Year in Employment in our NIPE academy to consolidate your learning and ensure you are fully prepared to practice in your Social Work team.

Working as part of the Teaching Partnership with the University of East Anglia, Suffolk County Council and the University of Suffolk we offer you an excellent post qualifying experience in your first year and throughout your career. Newly Qualified Social Workers from previous NIPE cohorts have progressed to become Senior Social Workers and Managers.

In Norfolk senior managers are committed to making improvements to create the best conditions for success, consequently we now have smaller Social Work teams with increased Team Manager to Social Worker ratios. On passing your ASYE we will identify and agree a post for you in one of our Social Work teams.

To be eligible to apply for the Norfolk Institute for Practice Excellence you must have already qualified as a Social Worker and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Please ensure you are either in the process of applying for your HCPC registration or have already obtained your registration. This will need to be in place before you commence employment with Norfolk County Council.
