We are looking for a dedicated Service Manager to support the Children and Families team in Swindon. To be successful for this role, you are required to have a minimum of 2 years recent Social Work experience of working with Children and Families. The role:

We want a candidate with at least two years experience at Service Manager level; having held responsibility for strategically managing the fostering service; with a clear understanding of National Minimum Standards around fostering; what good looks like in a service where supervising social workers provide support for carers; undertake Form F and SGO and connected persons assessments and ensuring that fostering recruitment is at the top of their priority. I would want a proven track record of working within this field. The post holder will also be responsible for Care Leavers Team and I would want the applicant to also have a clear understanding of the requirements and statutory responsibilities for care leavers.

We can consider a 4 day working arrangement or a one day at home (working 5 days). The maximum day rate to worker we would be looking for is GBP400, there is no room for negotiation on this. Initial contract will be for 3 months with view a to possible extension if required.

To apply, you\'ll need:

- A minimum of 2 years experience with children and families.
- Strong Child Protection experience, strong assessment skills- single, risk etc
- Experience within court and care proceedings
- Must be a car owner and driver with a clean full driving licence.
- It is essential to be able to work as part of a team and be able to work on own initiative
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure
- Flexibility
- Relevant social work qualification, e.g. CQSW, CSS, DipSW, Nursing, OT qualification, NVQ 4 (Care), HNC (Social Care), or HNC Care Management
- You must be professionally registered with the HCPC, and eligible to work in the UK.
