The Role

Salary - GBP24,285 - GBP27,285 per annum pro rata

Part time (19.9 hours per week)

Work pattern- 1pm-5pm (working pattern may occassionally differ slightly outside term time)

YSJ Active is a service geared towards providing an exciting range of opportunities for sport, exercise and recreation. As part of our expansion, we are recruiting for a YSJ Active Sports Therapist.

The University has recently invested millions of pounds in new sports facilities and founded a new School of Sport. The YSJ Active Sports Therapist will establish and coordinate a successful sports injury service including injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.

It is essential that the postholder possesses professional body status as a sports injury practitioner (e.g. MSST, MBASRat, HCPC) and be acute trauma qualified (e.g. IFAS, AREA, ICIS, IMMOFP). Candidates must also have experience of working with a range of athletes; in particular elite level, experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team and experience of planning, delivering and evaluating evidence based return to sport strategies. The candidate must also be able to demonstrate independence, initiative and motivation and well as being flexible and adaptable in their approach to duties and working hours.
