CPRD have an exciting opportunity for a GP Engagement Strategy Lead, who will develop and deliver a strategy to increase the number of GP practices contributing to CPRD's research data.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency enhance and improve the health of millions of people every day through the effective regulation of medicines and medical devices, underpinned by science and research. CPRD, jointly funded by the agency and the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), is the UK's pre-eminent research service providing access to anonymised NHS data for research.

Purpose of the role:

CPRD is entering a period of significant expansion, offering increasing volumes of anonymised healthcare data to support observational and interventional studies. The GP Engagement Lead is responsible for developing and implementing a multi-component strategy to significantly increase the number of GP practices working with CPRD.

The successful candidate will work with key partners such as NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) and the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) to increase the number of GP practices throughout the UK contributing anonymised primary care data to CPRD. You will establish a network of CPRD champions, manage relationships with new and existing contributing GP practices and initiate engagement activities to incentivise GP practices to join CPRD. In addition you provide leadership and management to the GP Engagement Team, driving their success.

We are seeking a dynamic individual with experience of working within primary care or liaising closely with GP practices to join our expanding organisation. You will possess the personal attributes to effectively engage with GPs and stakeholders, have prior experience of successfully developing organisational plans and be able to demonstrate a creative and proactive approach to delivering plans on time and to target.

With excellent analytical skill and demonstrable experience in implementing reporting metrics and systems you will also be an experienced line manager with a track record of delivering team success.

Qualification:

Degree in healthcare or life sciences or equivalent experience. Additional qualification in business management, business development or communications desirable.
