Head of Quality Assurance and Safeguarding - Fostering People

GBP40,000 - GBP50,000 per annum plus benefits. Office base in Nottingham England

Full time - 35 hours per week

Fostering People is an "Outstanding" Independent Fostering Agency. Formed in 2000, we have enjoyed a decade of steady but significant growth. We pride ourselves on the skills of our foster carers and on the safe and supportive service we have developed.

We require a Head of Quality Assurance and Safeguarding to join our senior management team to lead on quality assuring our operational services, ensuring the highest standards of practice are delivered to our children, young people and foster carers.

As a qualified Social Worker, you will provide direction, guidance and support to staff and managers on all aspects of quality, safeguarding and practice to ensure our services are compliant with relevant regulatory requirements. You will deputise for the Agency Panel Advisor on fostering panels when necessary and be involved in pre-inspection planning and panel business. You will be responsible for assessing and improving the quality of services, ensuring positive outcomes are evidenced through accurate information being recorded and communicated and ultimately ensure that we maintain our registration as an 'Outstanding' Fostering agency. This role will have responsibility across England & Scotland.

As the successful candidate you will need to be confident and self-motivated with a high level of organisational, verbal, written and communication skills alongside attention to detail. An excellent knowledge and understanding of the current legislations and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care, Fostering and Adoption including the Children's Act 1989 and its application to Social Work practice is essential. You must hold a current registration with the HCPC or equivalent body and a full driving licence.
