Starting salary of GBP 24,915 per annum for non-qualified teachers/GBP27,281 for qualified teachers, rising to GBP28,855 with experience in the role
Peterborough Regional College is a large, successful college of further and higher education with 10,000 students and 730 staff. We have recently celebrated 60 years at our current site located just outside of the city centre.
We currently have a full-time Lecturer opportunity in the College's Learner Engagement Team. We are seeking an innovative, resilient person to join the successful team.
The team deliver education and training to diverse groups of young people who may exhibit challenging behaviour. The successful candidate would be responsible for delivering inspirational curriculum that takes education out of the traditional classroom setting.
The successful candidate will have the ability to contribute to excellent pastoral care of young people, work effectively in a small team and have an adaptable approach that enables the team to develop responsive curriculum 50 weeks of the year.
The working hours will usually be within 8.30 am to 8.30 pm from Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on Friday. However, the working hours will vary on occasions dependent on the needs of the College.
The successful candidate will have GCSEs in English and maths Grade C and another qualification at level 3 and above.Experience working with challenging young people and those with offending behaviour is also desirable.Ideally you will also hold a teaching qualification but this is not essential as the College will support you in achieving this as part of your professional development.

- Maths and English GCSE grade C or above.
