Clerk to the Corporation (3 days per week)
Salary range: GBP43,605 - GBP49,059 pro rata per annum
We are seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Corporation who will be pivotal in promoting effective governance and assist in the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures, including E-governance, for the newly merged college. The successful candidate will have excellent administrative, interpersonal and communication skills and provide effective support to the Chair, the Principal and all members of the Governing Body.
The successful candidate will be responsible directly to the Board for the management and conduct of meetings, including various committees, and for providing professional advice in accordance with statutory, legal and procedural requirements. They must be able to work independently on a daily basis and maintain an awareness of developments within the FE sector and elsewhere.
Previous experience in the FE sector will be advantageous, but a background in similar organisations where effective governance is essential, will be also considered.
