LAC Team Manager - Expanding Children's Services - Good LA
Help Expand Children's Service within a Good LA
A London based Local Authority is expanding its Children's services and as such is looking to take on a Team Manager within their LAC service. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a Local Authority which achieved a Good Ofsted, which highlighted good leadership, good outcomes for Children Looked After and Children requiring protection.
The Local Authority has a large permanent workforce which was further stabilised by a large recruitment campaign at the start of the year. Most, if not all managers are employed on permanent contracts with most Senior Managers having worked for the Local Authority for more than 3 years.
As a Team Manager within the service you will be taking the reigns of a new team and will have the opportunity to use your experience to help develop the way the team works in order to ensure clients receive a high level of service. You will be encouraged to bring your own ideas to the table and implement process which you have found to be effective at ensuring you get the best out of your Social Workers. As such you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of the service.
The Local Authority places emphasis on building relationships with service users and therefore keep workloads manageable so that Social Workers are able to focus on the best outcomes for Children. The Local Authority also operate an environment which empowers its staff to work independently and confidently.
To be considered for this post you should have experience of managing either a LAC or Child Protection service.
