Our client, a locally based business require an experienced payroll manager with experience of multiple payrolls, using sage payroll.

An all round role, which also gives the opportunity to broaden your knowledge in other areas of accounts.

Responsible for the processing of approximately 30 payrolls. The majority of these payrolls are monthly using Sage Payroll.
Submission of RTI forms to HMRC e.g. EPS. FPS, P60 etc.
Submission of auto-enrolment information to clients' pension funds in format required.
Providing auto-enrolment administration services e.g. setting up employees in pension schemes, issuing appropriate letters to employees etc.
Processing leavers and starters e.g. P45's P46's etc.
Calculating gross pay, sick pay, maternity pay due to employees
Preparing monthly payroll journals
Advising clients of their monthly PAYE/NI/Pension liabilities
Dealing with general ad-hoc payroll queries from clients as they arise
Preparing salary forecasts if requested by clients
Uploading BACS payment files to clients bank for payment of salaries

You should have experience in the following areas:

Must have sound working knowledge of the mechanics in operating payrolls
Good working knowledge of the requirements of RTI and auto-enrolment
Familiarity with salary sacrifice pension scheme arrangements is desirable
Familiarity with USS and SAUL pension schemes is desirable
Knowledge of payroll systems (particularly Sage)
Good working knowledge of spreadsheets
Must have good communication skills (both written and oral)

Good time management skills
