A successful one for entry Primary school in the heart of Islignton are looking to recruit from October half term a talented and passionate music teacher and strings musician for 2.5 days per week (Ideally Monday Wednesday) who can continue to develop the innovative and high standard music provision, teaching and learning currently in place at the school and to foster links between schools in the Primary Music Centre to develop excellence in music.

The successful candidate will:

•Be able to continue the strings project well established at the school and will need to be able to play cello or violin to teach a class of pupils.
•Be keen to continue the current tradition of leading showcase music concerts to demonstrate the outcome of learning across the school.
•Be flexible and innovative in developing a range of music media and genres with classes (e.g. voice, percussion, recorders).
•To support the development of a vibrant music curriculum.
•Is keen to support the development of pupils including school choir and out of hours learning opportunities.
•Consistently high expectations of all pupils

•Positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues
•Creative and flexible approaches to teaching
•Excellent behaviour management
