Wealth Management Assistant

Bourne End, Berkshire
cGBP26,000 per annum D.O.E
8.30am to 5.00pm; Monday to Friday

Our prestigious and well-established client in Bourne End advises over 10,000 clients on pensions, investments, protection, estate planning and personal tax planning, overseeing funds in excess of GBP500 million. They are now looking for an efficient and highly organised Wealth Management Assistant to join their team.

Responsibilities of Wealth Management Assistant:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic support to one of the Financial Advisers of the firm, responsible for over GBP30 million of funds under management.
They will be expected to have a high level of independent responsibility, whilst being involved in a wide range of activities. This exposure allows the candidate to develop transferable skills as well as strengthening their industry knowledge.
The candidate will also have the chance, if they wish, to commence professional training and work towards their Diploma in Financial Planning.
The core purpose of the role is to provide a technical service to an adviser in order to provide the client with a positive professional experience.

• Writing to providers to obtain product information
• Preparing analysis on existing financial products
• Formatting and sending letters / portfolio reviews to clients
• Assisting in composing reports for client recommendations
• Processing client paperwork for new / existing business
• Arranging meetings / organising adviser diary
• Typing up meeting notes
• Checking file compliance
• Running various marketing campaigns and assisting with design of material
• Assisting adviser in recording details of client bank
• Communicating with clients via email and over the phone

• Excellent report writing skills
• Ability to analyse numbers and statistics
• Ability to conduct research for appropriate providers and investments
• Good understanding of compliance issues
• Excellent interpersonal and IT skills
• Well-presented and professional

Essential requirements of the Wealth Management Assistant:

• Good IT office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, internet
• A minimum of three A-Levels at grade B or above
• Have, or have the ability to acquire, a sound knowledge of financial planning
• Develop and maintain systems and procedures which improve the efficiency of client case preparation and submission
• Confidence and the ability to use initiative
• Good personal time management - Personal Assistant experience would be an advantage
• The ability to work as part of a team and to deal with colleagues, clients and providers at all levels outside our business
• A high level of analytical capability with a high level of commercial experience/judgement
• Provide a point of contact for clients and providers when the adviser is unavailable
