Job Title: Community Safety Analyst
Salary Range: GBP33,437 pa progressing to GBP37,306 pa
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Fixed Term/Secondment for 12 Months
*You should be educated to Degree level or have equivalent work experience
*Skills and experience in community safety, statistics and statistical techniques, literature review and critical appraisal
*Ability to exploit data analysis and reporting technologies
The County Community Safety Unit (CCSU) brings together professionals from the Council and the police with the aim of reducing crime and anti-social behaviour, tackling substance misuse and reducing offending in Hertfordshire.
It involves providing advice and giving strategic direction to partner agencies and commissioning and managing services, and to be responsible for providing the links between districts and countrywide services on all aspects of this work.
Responsibilities also include:
*Support the information and intelligence needs of the County Community Safety Unit
*Research and gather information from a wide variety of sources including health
*Develop intelligence products that develop the "story" behind the information
