About the job and the individual
We are recruiting for an experienced commercial contract lawyer to work in The London Clinic’s busy legal team on a part time basis (2-3 days per week negotiable). Are you an experienced commercial contract lawyer? Would you relish the opportunity to be part of The London Clinics busy legal and corporate services team working 2-3 days per week at our centrally located offices on Park Square West?
We are looking for a proactive and meticulous individual who can handle a wide range of commercial contracts from drafting through to negotiation and finalisation. You’ll take the lead in our initiative to centralise all of the Clinic’s existing legal contracts and provide practical advice and guidance in a range of substantive legal areas, such as general contracts, commercial law, tenders and relevant legislation.
You will need to be a people person too as you establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the organisation to ensure that legal advice is consistently sought by internal clients when needed. Working closely with colleagues to draft and negotiate effective agreements that align with our strategy and values you will also assist with the development and delivery of training modules regarding contractual legal issues and manage relationships with external stakeholders such as suppliers and industry regulators.

As the successful candidate, you will be required to:

•             Support the Corporate Services team through the provision of technically accurate and pragmatic commercial contracts work, by working closely with colleagues to draft and negotiate effective agreements that align with our strategy and values.

•             Seek and facilitate appropriate approval for the execution of agreements and seek appropriate guidance and involvement of other relevant functions and departments, as appropriate.

•             Provide practical advice and guidance to the business in a range of substantive legal areas, such as general contracts, commercial law, tenders and relevant legislation, as

•             Lead the initiative to centralise all of the Clinic’s existing legal contracts.
