We are currently looking for an Accounts payable analyst to work within our Finance team in Sheffield. We need someone who has excellent attention to detail and is a good team player. You do not necessarily need a finance background but will need good Excel and Outlook skills. You will match invoices and make payments so you must be able to spot errors easily and come to resolutions. Good typing skills are essential along with the ability to work at a fast pace to get through your workload. Invoices and credits from suppliers from our EMEA Businesses must be received and recorded in accordance with company policy and payments made on time.

Duties will include:

To ensure all invoices and credits are matched, coded and accurately recorded.
Process payments to a reconciled statement.
Timely preparation of supplier payments. Aware of and making allowance for authorization procedures.
Liaise with Suppliers to ensure all supplier invoices are received on a timely basis and are recorded only once.
Be responsible for the achievement of following Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Effective management of procedures
Prepares Payments in order to maximize early settlement discount.
Cash flow forecasting
Regular filing of AP documents following prescribed process and Rota system
To assist in the completion of ad hoc tasks within the Accounts Department when asked to do so by a manager or team leader
To provide cover for the duties performed by other members of the Department as may be required from time to time
To ensure participation in the implementation of any new systems or projects
Be proactive in suggesting and implementing improvements to the Accounts Department's procedures.
