Service Manager (RMN/RNLD) vacancy - up to GBP39K + benefits
Small Service - Adult Complex Needs - Southend-on-Sea

An exciting opportunity for an accomplished and confident Service Manager (RMN/RNLD) has arisen at my client's small, specialist private hospital in Southend-on-Sea. This role is permanent and based on full-time hours, and is offering up to GBP39K alongside a host of competitive benefits.

The service provides holistic, patient-centred nursing care to adults with complex learning disabilities, mental health conditions and associated physical health needs. Some service users also have forensic histories and present anti-social behaviours. The facility has maintained a Good CQC report across recent years, and prides itself on its strong, patient-focused attitude to care delivery. Those who come to the service may be stepping down from secure/acute settings, or arriving from a residential setting where their complex needs and requirements are not being met.

As Service Manager, you will carry sole responsibility for the service's operation through effective leadership, and you will align your own and your employees' practices to the objectives of the company. As well as ensuring high quality nursing service is delivered, you will be expected to manage recruitment and wider HR issues within the team, oversee training of all staff and play an active role in CPD. Other responsibilities cover the management of patient flow and quality compliance/assurance.

The Requirements

* RMN/RNLD in the UK with valid and active NMC registration/PIN
* A minimum of 5 years' management experience within LD/MH services
* A strong knowledge and understanding of relevant healthcare acts/legislation such as the MHA, MCA/DoLS, SoVA/PoVA etc.
* Proven success in clinical governance audit, quality management and assurance, risk assessment, staff development etc.

The Package

* 28 days annual leave
* Length of service awards
* Company pension scheme
* Childcare vouchers
* Life insurance
* Employee Assistance Programme
* Comprehensive induction (paid), full training provided and NVQ Level 4/5 available
* Free onsite parking
* Company discount scheme (high street, entertainment etc.)
