Learning and Development Manager, National Office, St Albans

Make a difference to the lives of older people by joining Abbeyfield and managing our Learning and Development function.

Were seeking a values driven, resilient and results led professional qualified to a minimum standard of CIPD level 5 (or equivalent) to join our care and housing Charity to set the L&D agenda. The role will be focused on designing and delivering a L&D workplan, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, to address challenges, opportunities and change through L&D activities.

The L&D Manager will head the L&D Team (consisting of two people) to:

  • Support the implementation of Abbeyfields People Strategy
  • Define, develop and produce the workplan for learning and development opportunities across the business
  • Provide an excellent service meeting strategic aims in a cost effective and efficient manner

The ideal candidate must have had previous experience of working in a L&D role within a large to medium multi-site operational organisation, be an excellent communicator, well organised and have the ability to work flexibly using their own initiative.
