Senior Planning Officer - Aylesbury

The Reward
Based in Aylesbury my client is willing to pay between GBP37,116 and GBP40,164 for a motivated and experienced Senior Planning Officer. Benefits include 28 days' annual leave, pension scheme, development & training opportunities, parking permit and flexible working options, including home working.

The Role
The purpose and remit of the role
• Work in a technical role alongside experienced planners in the major development team
• As an experienced and skilled town planner, you will be working on complex developments
• Provide advice to a range of external and internal stakeholders
• Manage a varied caseload of major planning applications
• Prepare reports for committee, etc.
• Continually looks for ways to improve processes and service

The Candidate
To be considered for this position you will
• You must hold a level 6 qualification in town/urban planning and be a full member of the RTPI
• Have significant experience in town planning or in a planning consultancy role
• Substantial experience of managing large and complex developments
• Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness
• Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
• Knowledge of the relevant legislation
• Motivated to continue your professional development and to become one of the authorities' technical experts on planning and development
