Are you immediately available and have all-round accounts experience? Sheridan Maine are working closely with a leading local business in Avonmouth to find an Assistant Accountant to join their supportive team.

This is initially a temporary position for a couple of months to help cover a busy period but there is a possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful Assistant Accountant will be reporting into the Finance Manager and be responsible for varied tasks within the team. Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, there is scope to take on additional responsibilities. The offices are easily accessible via local train, bus or car with onsite parking.

The main responsibilities for the successful Assistant Accountant will include but not limited to:
  • Sales Ledger Management including Credit Control.
  • Managing the cash flow forecast.
  • Assisting with management accounts production.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Accruals & prepayments.
  • Inter-company reconciliations.
