Tenni Cole-Etti is currently recruiting for a Senior Scientist to join one of the leading providers of genetics research solutions to customers worldwide at their site based in Oxfordshire. This role is offered on a full time Fixed Term basis for 6 months.

Your main responsibilities in this role will be to:
• Complete and oversee a variety of molecular biology and next generation sequencing projects
• Contribute to the research, development, and improvement of new and existing assays
• Assist in the research, development, and improvement of new and existing products
• Propose, evaluate, and manage or contribute to new projects
• Write and review R&D grant applications
• Write and review patent applications
• Manage and co-ordinate technical aspects of internal research projects and multi-centre research grants

You are required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
• PhD in a Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Genetics based subject
• Detailed experience of Next Generation Sequencing, including but not limited to targeted DNA-seq, RNA-seq, Meth-Seq, and whole genome sequencing
• Experience of running microarray experiments
• Previous experience completing the analysis of complex NGS data
• Ability to establish new scientific contacts and networks
