Red Personnel have an exciting new opportunity! A leading national charity established over 100 years ago and based in the heart of London's City is looking to recruit a HR Assistant to join their vibrant HR team. The HR Assistant will provide managers and employees with support and advice on a range of HR matters and coordinate the recruitment process from beginning to end.

This role is a permanent full-time role paying GBP22,248 per annum + excellent flexible benefits.

Core duties of the HR Assistant:

- To take the lead on recruitment administration and advice (including co-ordinating pre-employment checks), advising managers on all aspects of the recruitment process
- To accurately draft HR correspondence such as offer letters, contracts of employment and probation completion letters
- Update HR and Payroll databases
- Provide data and information extracts when requested and support the team to gather information required for audits
- Create and maintain hard and electronic HR systems and personnel paperwork
- To act as the first port of contact for manager and employee queries on HR policies and issues
- To work with the Learning & Development team identifying recruitment training needs and to assist in the delivery of training
- To support the wider People team with projects
- Work in partnership with HR team and manage the Ask HR inbox proactively
- Review and assist in the development of new processes and procedures
- To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as requested by HR Business Partner and HR Advisor

Essential Skills required of the HR Assistant:

- Proven experience working in a HR team
- CIPD Qualified (or equivalent)
- Competent in all MS applications
- Knowledge of HR Databases (Snowdrop HR database will be an advantage)
- Good communication skills at all levels, both written and oral
- Approachable manner both in person and on the telephone
- Good administration and organisational skills with good attention to detail
- Good time management skills, ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
- Knowledge of issues facing people with hearing loss in relation to their employment will be an advantage
