A successful manufacturer is seeking a Reporting and Masterdata Analyst to take up this newly created role within a finance team.

The role of Reporting and Masterdata Analyst reports to the Head of Business Systems and will ensure that data which flows through their business reporting systems is correct. This will include both financial and operational data for review by senior management. This will include:

• Support at period end process in JDEdwards including the preparation and posting of journal entry which will involve sales accruals and associated rebate journals, stock adjustments, engineering stock valuation and provision.
• Completion of standard monthly reporting, e.g., sales and stock reports.
• Completion of sales, associated rebate and stock reconciliations.
• Preparation and review of raw material and bottle reconciliations.
• Calculation of average raw material costs.
• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and associated sales and stock analysis.
• Preparation of ad hoc management reporting as and when requested.
• Masterdata control to include:
• Management and ownership of masterdata process for creation of new customers, suppliers and products.
• Ownership of masterdata to ensure all changes are properly authorised and recorded correctly.
• Act as key contact between business functions to facilitate management of masterdata e.g., making sure new products are set up correctly in relevant systems with the correct information.
• Involvement in revision to master data creation and approval processes, interrogating and investigating any issues along with integrity checks.
• Purchase Ledger data management and management of manual credit note and invoice transactions.
• Management of key data within business systems e.g., exchange rates, input of material pricing ad customer pricing to include Customer Pricing, Item Master Management and review of COS account structure, AAI's and GRNI review, open orders review and review of logged invoices, plus Corporate Credit Card Analysis.

A background in financial or IT background with an appreciation of accounting principles is essential for this role of Reporting and Masterdata Analyst, along with experience of using and understanding a ERP system, ideally Edwards, knowledge of the relationship between master and transactional data. Advanced Excel skills would be appreciated, along with problem solving skills and process improvement skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
