I am recruiting a Senior Management Accountant for a well known company in Hull. The successful candidate will be qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent and be able to undertake some travel to other UK sites as and when required.


-The role will manage and run the accounting activities for one site and take responsibility for the cost effective operation and high performance of accounting processes for a finance shared service centre. A key focus will be the production of timely, relevant and accurate financial information.
-Forecast cash flows, processing journals, process intercompany transfers, balance sheet and bank reconciliations
-Monthly ledger close process, maintain and control the balance sheet accounts, revenue accounting, cost accounting
-Analysis, reporting and general ledger maintenance
-Statutory accounting, tax reporting, produce management account reports and supervise other management accountants in the team


-Qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant or equivalent with a minimum of five years accounting experience and preferably at least two years in a senior accounting role and with relevant exposure to the management and statutory reporting functions
-Strong IT systems, thorough understanding of accounting processes and GAAP
-Experience of service sector preferred as well as experience of designing and implementing process improvements
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, motivational and strong management/leadership skills


-Our client is well known in Hull and has a national presence. There are good road connections to the A63/Humber Bridge/eastern end of the M62, both East and West Hull villages and Beverley.


-GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 + benefits
