An excellent opportunity for a newly qualified financial accountant has arisen to join an international trading company in West Hull. Candidates working in professional practice and looking to make the entry into industry are welcome to apply. The company offers a competitive newly qualified salary and is located with excellent road links to the surrounding area and Humber Bridge.


-The successful candidate will undertake a variety of responsibilities including balance sheet reconciliation and control within a business that runs two trial balances in both sterling and dollars.
-Manage the currency exposure, currency management and hedging, debtors reconciliations
-VAT returns, reporting, liaison with auditors, annual statutory reporting and helping with the preparation of annual budgets
-Authorising international payments
-Work as part of a dedicated finance team, talking ownership for the role and utilising strong communication skills across the business for clarity and efficiency

-You are probably a newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant or maybe at finalist stage with just a few exams to sit before qualifying
-You will have broad based accounting skills but have strengths in financial accounting and looking for an interesting and challenging role for your next career move
-Looking to make the first move out of professional practice? This position offers an excellent opening into industry and will develop your skills and experience in an international company
-Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing are essential as is a high degree of systems literacy particularly with Excel
-Proactive and resilient you have a good commercial awareness and have an adaptable, flexible approach
