Managing Director - Bedfordshire or Manchester - Textile Services - cGBP90,000 + bonus & benefits

Our Client, one of Europe's leading textile service companies, is seeking to recruit a highly skilled and commercially focused Managing Director with the inspirational and motivational leadership skills, breadth of knowledge, customer focus and passion to bring a fresh modern energy to the UK business at a time of significant change and growth.

Following the recent acquisition of two additional businesses which has more than tripled both turnover and staff numbers and increased the number of sites to five, the new Managing Director will be responsible for integrating the company's culture across this larger team, creating a commercially dynamic and cohesive organisation with a positive and mutually supportive ethos. Growing existing sales will also be a priority and previous experience of leading and developing a sales team to achieve profitable growth will be required.

This position is currently office based in Bedfordshire and will require the post holder to spend a significant amount of time at the various UK sites, the European Head Office and elsewhere as necessary. Working from the Manchester office is a possibility for a North West UK based candidate.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on, proactive, highly experienced and fully involved Managing Director with an SME background and from a B2B customer-oriented service/process based industry in the UK where a tangible product comes in through the door, is processed in some way and then goes back out again. You will need to show proven first-class people-management skills together with the commercial skills, energy, enthusiasm and creativity to be a key driver and innovator in respect of driving culture engagement, profitability and service excellence.

Demonstrable success of leading a UK-based service organisation through a period of change and growth while improving profitability and efficiency is essential and experience of culture integration across a business following acquisition would be a distinct advantage.
