We are recruiting for a Finance Manager for a impressive global business who pride themselves on developing talent. The role will be based in the Head office in Peterborough reporting into the Head of Finance. The principle responsibility of the role is accounting for central costs and the associated balance sheets. Management of the non finance stakeholders and development of the Central Cost team is fundamental to the success of the role.

You will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring of the weekly results reporting and submission of central costs weekly results
  • Monthly review of cost centres and discussion with business stakeholders
  • Review of weekly and monthly results and preparation of commentary for management
  • Ownership of the P&L month end process
  • Preparation and delivery of budgets and forecasts for business areas
  • Responsibility of balance sheet accounts for operational costs
  • Assist with the provision of finance and decision support to the business stakeholders
  • Continuous review of financial information to ensure it is appropriate and relevant
  • Recommend and implement best working practices for the team
  • Proactively identify and highlight relevant issues for the both Finance and Business areas

To apply for this role you will need to be fully ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with:

  • Experience of compiling budgets and forecasts
  • Commercially aware coupled with strong accounting skills
  • Experience of stakeholder management
  • Development of team to ensure full engagement across relevant stakeholders, enabling influence over business decision making
  • Drive and enthusiasm to develop the role and realise process efficiency
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A team player, who is able to motivate the team and work to achieving common goals
