Lewis-Manning Hospice is already well known locally as a centre offering excellent palliative care to local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and their carers, and we have recently opened our brand-new state of the art in-patient unit for end of life care, for patients in Dorset. We passionately believe in treating every person and every day as special, ensuring that each individual person knows they matter.

This not only applies to our patients but our staff as well, and as the Hospice embarks on this exciting new journey we are seeking a dynamic and inspiring HR professional to join our team.

Playing a key role in the development of our people strategy, this is an extremely busy role covering a variety of tasks. You will be responsible for managing the HR function on a daily basis, providing support and advise to line managers on employee relation issues. You will also lead the recruitment and on-boarding process for all new starters.

This is a standalone role with a great opportunity to develop and lead the Hospice's people and volunteer strategy, focussing on key areas including: implementing an HR System and recruiting clinical staff and volunteers.

You will need to have experience working at a senior HR advisory level for at least 3 years, and will have ideally completed your CIPD Level 5 or 7. We are looking for someone who is confident working in a standalone role, with extensive recruitment and employee relations experience. Knowledge of HR processes and employment law is a must, as well as the desire to undertake all aspects of a generalist HR role. You will be a passionate, professional individual who likes to get things done. This is a full time role; however, requests for flexible or part-time working will be considered.
