Axon Moore are partnered with a leading brand and we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Commercial Finance Analyst to join their large commercial finance team. Working within our client's vibrant offices in Manchester City Centre, this is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to forge their career in a large business where there's lots of opportunity to move sideways and upwards.

The commercial finance team provides the analysis that allows the business to run efficiently, continue to innovate and further improve the service offered. We're now looking for an assistant commercial finance analyst to further support our clients work.

You'll take a close look at data, summarise it and draw out the key messages that managers and colleagues need to make the right decisions. That means you'll be on the front line of how the business operates and how they can be even more efficient and innovative. The work is substantial and satisfying and you're likely to be focused on projects for days, weeks or months ahead.

Your key responsibilities:

- Provide insightful analysis to benchmark performance, monitoring the performance of any commercial trials.
- Analyse problems before producing informative and accurate reports.
- Apply new techniques to improve scenario, budgeting and forecasting models, including external benchmarking.
- Ensure you work in line with agreed KPIs, standards, policies and regulations.

This is a role where you'll often stretch yourself, applying your specialist technical knowledge across a range of different areas. This role will suit an individual who is inquisitive, likes to get to the bottom of things and enjoys solving problems. It's also a chance for you to grow your skills, enhance your career and make a real difference to how our clients business operates.

Skills/Ability required:

- Degree in a finance, business or management related discipline ideally however a scientific degree will be considered.
- An individual who is part CIMA qualified would be ideal but isn't essential.
- You will love working with numbers and data.
- Experience within commercial analysis of sales and margins.
- You've got the level of Excel skills you'll need to analyse and manipulate complex data sets.
- You enjoy working as part of a team.
- You're able to easily build and engage relationships with all kinds of people, at all levels.
- You're a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal guidance.
