Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 0.5
Length: minimum 3 months

Our client, the St Giles Trust, is a charitable Trust who help ex-offenders and disadvantaged people to move their lives forward - typically those who fell through the net and were not in benefit of state assistance.

In the mid-1990's, St Giles Trust started to work in local prisons offering housing casework support to serving prisoners. This service was in so high demand that in 2001 they started training serving prisoners to become qualified caseworkers known as Peer Advisors, who could offer advice and guidance to their fellow inmates which became a ground-breaking approach.

We are now recruiting for a part time Trainer Assessor to be a key member of the St Giles Trust team, recruiting, supporting and developing ex-offenders in the community to become Peer Advisers. You be delivering training, support and assessment for Peer Advisers, to achieve City & Guilds Level 3 Advice and Guidance qualifications and complete work placements.

This role is to begin as soon as possible for a minimum of 3 months with a possibility of extending to April 2018.

Suitable candidates will meet the following criteria:

*Ability to assess learners in work situations, and support them to achieve a Level 3 qualification.
*Understanding of and ability to deliver a high-quality training and support to groups and individuals, using a range of approaches, including to adults who face barriers to learning.
